St. Triton's Thunder
When Admiral Everhall turned CKS Enterprises into a thriving Realm wide business, she needed to pick a headquarters. The problem is that central locations are not the best choice. Minerva is going under planetary construction, Sorian is still a desert planet with nothing to offer, and Brimstone may have a booming magic business but it is fairly inhospitable to most. That is why she decided to make her place of business mobile. A business ship that could move where needed and be in the best location for whatever negotiation would be needed. Thus was born St. Triton’s Thunder.
Admiral Everhall had previously captained a Triop and appreciated its maneuverability and unique ability to submerge. The complete two split decks also offered lots of room, but not enough for what she had in mind. Instead she enlisted the help of engineers to build a new ship from the ground up in the form of a Triop but twice its size with six decks. The final ship would have a large array of weapons, all the room needed for hosting important dignitaries and customers, a board room, master chefs, pretty much anything a company in space would need.
The interior of the ship is finished off in fine chestnut wood walls. Gold fittings are in place for the lights and other fixtures. Where the ship really stands out is its use of technology. Lightstone and sunstone sconces in the hallways assure lamination. Magical cooling devices keep the food fresh. Special non flame based heaters mean that the chef can even cook while in the phlogostin. Tubes run throughout the ship to send commands wherever they need to go. Every day to day task seems to have been made easier with modern magic/technology mix. This shows up the most in the board room.
The Board room has a large circular table with the center removed. Chairs line the outside so that everyone has a view of everyone else. Admiral Everhall sits at its head. Behind her lies a large map of the known realm set in the wall in what seems to be ceramic mosaic. The tiles are magical however, and can be changed to represent many different maps and scenes. On the ceiling in the center of the room is a half domed skylight that is obviously an illusion (since there are two more floors above the ship.) It can be set to specific night skies, or to show what is directly above the ship through a seeing crystal mounted in the upper hull. Whichever scene is selected, it makes the room seem even larger.
The circular design of the board room spreads out to the rest of the Main deck giving every room a sense of connection to the main focal point. The rooms right around the boardroom are for Admiral Everhall’s most trusted advisors. She even has procured the services of a Minovian Librarian a rarity these days as most Minovians are back in their home world working on restoring their planet to its former glory.
