Yes, it is always spelled in capital letters with an exclamation point as it is always shouted when spoken in Orc. WAKAKAN! Has always been the home of the Orcs. No one else has ever really wanted it. The sun is fairly large, bright and generally makes the weather uncomfortable. There is dust or smog of some sort in the air at almost all times. This doesn’t seem to bother the Orcs, but it would severely affect any traveler that went to their planet (not that any do.) Once benefit of this is Orcs can breathe stale air on a ship longer than most humans can. It is said that the entire planet has a kind of sulfur smell to it.
Before the wars, the Orcs managed to somehow bring their own brand of clumsy but vicious piracy to the Known Realm. They would steal ships when theirs broke down, force lower level mages to pilot them, or find life jammers and put prisoners in them. They would roam through the Realm looking for ships to fight for no real strategic reason. It is not known how the Kish got the Orcs to fight on the same side as everyone else against the Outsiders but they did. When the wars were over the Orcs signed a peace agreement with the rest of the realm. Most scalars believe that the Orcs did not understand exactly what it was they were signing until much later on.
Although mass Orc marauding has stopped, there are still some Orc Pirates that roam the Realms. The majority of Orcs have contented themselves with fighting the “skinny bone guys”. They have been doing this for so long in fact that some Privateers have started hiring Orc or Half Orcs to lead their boarding parties as their fighting experience against the undead is unparalleled in the Realms.
Quite recently, Orcs raiding parties have been turning up across the Known Realm attacking undead in all manner of strange contraptions from rocket sleds and back packs to small ships powered by what they call “Rage helms” that no mage has gotten a decent look at yet. This increase in technology for the Orcs is strange and dangerous since they obviously did not make it themselves nor have the wisdom to use it safely.
