This Crystal Sphere has never been entered. No portals exist in the Crystal and teleportation spells can not pass through. It is unknown if there are even any intelligent beings on the planets. From time to time someone clams to have seen a ship flying from planet to planet but there is no concrete proof. If there are space fairing beings in the sphere, they choose not to fly out to the wall of Crystal and have made no attempts to try and contact anyone, or respond to attempts.

For centuries mages have been trying to get into the Crystal Sphere to discover its secrets. When the first explorers from the Known Realm arrived and heard about this sphere, they told stories about their own sphere that has been magically locked to keep evil elves inside. Since then, there has been some debate as to if the sphere should ever be entered as perhaps the reason is to keep something inside, and not to keep people out.
